Do you have any experiences with mabbco Motors?
I’m considering purchasing a short block 6.0 Vortec and looking at this compzny – Mabbco Motors. Thier 6.0 Vortec seems like a good base to build off. Anybody have any experiences with this company? Is the valve train at mabbco Motors junk?
The valve train is junk. the lifters will not stay pumped up and the cam has flat spots on it. and yes it has oil pressure. Mabbco told me if I payed the shipping back to them after they decide… more>> It was a horrible ordeal from start to end. I called them after 6 weeks, was told they had not even pulled the papers.

Are there any mabbco engines in Tyler TX?
I live about 45 mins from mabbco engines in Tyler tx. I have some personal exp. with them I have pick up and installed several of there engines from v6 to v8, about 6 engines I think. No problems with any of them. I have toured there shop and they do good work.

What are the lifter bores on a mabbco motor?
Lifter bores were .12 or more out of spec: #6 intake, #8 exhaust, #5 intake, #1 exhaust, #4 intake, #3 exhaust, #2 exhaust, #3 intake. They couldn’t have checked the lifter bores. Motor would have eaten up my brand new lifters (and most likely damaged my new cam) in minutes if I hadn’t caught it.
