Why is my door knob turning but not opening?
Look for your issue below, and see if you can’t find your solution. A door knob, or door handle, uses a spring-loaded latch. The turning of the handle retracts the latch by pulling on the spring and compressing it. In the resting state of the lock, the spring is extended.
What to do if a door handle does not retract?
Take the handles/knobs off of the door. Remove the handles, including the thru spindle. Use a tool (a flathead screwdriver will work) to twist within the gap the thru spindle inserts into. See if this retracts the handle. If the latch retracts, then the handles are not secured to the thru spindle properly.

What to do if your storage compartment won’t open?
Passenger side large storage compartment won’t open. There are 2 latches on either end controlled by center control lever. Only one latch will release, the other feels like it moves but won’t release. My only apparent fix would be to drill out screws from behind since it is exposed behind front tire.
